Impacting Real-Word Policy

The Center for Governance and Sustainability (CGS) seeks to be an agent of change for better governance across scales and geographies. Engaging in rigorous and applied scholarship on real-world policy challenges, CGS aspires to advancing inspirational education, and promoting honest dialogue among a stakeholders.

Focusing on key research areas - environment governance, sustainability and developmental governance, CGS's mission is to:

  • advance the state of knowledge in the field of global governance and generate analysis that is practical for policy-makers seeking to reform international institutions for environment and development
  • train the next generation of leaders for sustainability governance offering opportunities beyond the classroom 
  • promote productive dialogue and frank exchange of ideas among diverse stakeholders around the globe focusing on sustainabilty and governance

In the present geopolitical scenario, we seek to ensure that environment and development are perceived as interrelated foundations for the well-being of current and future generations.
